Let me tell you a funny story. My tale of avoidance for so long...

I HATE EXERCISE

If I could have typed that above statement BIGGER and BOLDER I would have so I could demonstrate the true hatred I have for exercise. Who in the world thought to themselves , "not only must we work, sleep, take care of our families and cook, but we also will need to run until we can't breath and sweat all over ourselves and our favorite pair of yoga pants. Then do push ups til our arms burn and feel like they are going to fall off. Ya, that is just not something I am in to. 

My mom did have a membership to a local gym in my hometown called the RDV Sportsplex (look it up it's a pretty cool place) . I always went as her "guest" but mainly spent time in their cafe gulping down some killer smoothies or I would wonder on over to the skating rink and watch everyone else go through tutorials on how to skate around the circle. And last but not least...and my most favorite thing to do at the gym. The SAUNA. OMG If I could have one of those in my house I don't think I would ever leave home.

So as much as I hate exercise when your pushing up in age and you finally start to realize, hey maybe I need to pay attention to these fatty flabs of skin under my arms or that my muscle mass has been greatly decreasing, I decided it was time to make a change. Now don't go getting to excited for me. I didn't sign up for a lifetime membership at the local gym and I didn't go hire a personal trainer to start me on a new journey to health and enlightenment. What I did do was go on Amazon and order something I have always been interested in after seeing so many infomercials and advertisements for them. The resistance band. 

I landed on the Phantom Fit Resistance Bands and I am actually super happy about my decision. They arrived today and I was so thrilled I had to share ASAP. First off, they are purple. So cute!  Not a big stand out color purple more like a lavender shade, very pretty. The handles are solid and are more comfortable then you would think with an online order. The padding is just enough that your hands do not get sore but thin enough to not get in your way of a good solid grip. The band itself feels very durable and the one I purchased has a weight capacity of 40-45 pounds. It came with its own nice storage case too.

Now, here is what I love so much about the Phantom Fit band. I literally feel like I am standing on a rubber band. The resistance and ease of spring back action is amazing. I was trying all the positions that were shown on the manual that came included and each was so simple to follow and actually fun to do. My kids loved watching me so much and were cracking up laughing. Each one of them took a turn "working out with it" to determine which one of them was the strongest kid.

As much as I despise exercise, and that is something that will never change, I can see myself utilizing this on a daily basis. Though I do not aim for buns-of-steel, I do aim for a little toning of some areas that need a little extra help. These Resistance bands are top notch and I highly recommend them. 

Majestic Pure Blue Eye Gel

When I was a kid I always admired the pretty girls in school. The ones that looked perfect every day with or without make-up and seemed to have no flaws to their outer or inner appearance. Everyone loved them, they were very popular, and  I think that went along with them always getting good grades as well.(I don't know, but I swear they were a young version of the Stepford Wives in training) 

And then there was me. 

Growing up I always had these bags under my eyes. I hated looking in the mirror since I always looked so tired and sluggish. I couldn't get rid of them no matter what I tried. As a young teenager that was forbidden to wear makeup by my parents, I did not know there was a type of product you could use to help eliminate this issue. So I dealt with it. As I grew older though it became worse. With the addition of 4 kids and the subtraction of a lot of sleep hours in my day the bags then became darker. Each year it seemed that the darkness continued and the bags continued to get puffier. I had to find something to get this under control before there was no way to fix it.

So I set out on my search and of course Amazon has become a highly frequented site of mine since I Love the new make-ups and upcoming trendy items. I was looking at reviews and came along the Majestic Pure skincare line. After some extensive background research I landed on the Blue Eye Gel Anti-Wrinkle, Dark Circles and Antioxidant product.  I figured I would try it out as I was drawn to the fact it was made with a blue algae extract and reasonably priced. At this point I would try anything.

My package arrived and the container is a decent size containing 30ml of creme and once I realized it literally only took one tiny drop to cover both eye areas I knew this bottle would last me a very long time. When I ordered I did not realize, but was actually happy, that it has a pump application from the bottle. All you do is push down the top half and it dispenses thru a hole in the top lid. So how does it work you are probably wondering...Well, all you do per the directions is go from the inner eye area to the outer eye area in a single sweeping motion. The first time I used it I pumped one full pump and it was way too much creme and I had to waste some and wash it off my hands. When I first put it on it was very silky feeling though not overly greasy or runny. It did not form any clumps while sweeping. The softness of your skin does stay for a while but as I have just started to use it I can not provide a verified response if it helps with the dark circles and puffiness. I will keep everyone posted on further posts if it actually cures or helps minimize the puffiness and black circles. So far I can say it does help with wrinkles and provides a nice soft appearance

Curel - Providing Hydratherapy Moisturizer

So how many of you have multiple people that check your mail (kids, significant other, even sometimes a nosey neighbor hehe)? When said mail gets brought inside the house it somehow never makes it to the intended recipient. Well as we are doing a small "spring clean" on the bedroom and going through drawers that haven't seen the light of day in quite some time, my boyfriend turns to me and hands me a box. I looked puzzled as I wasn't expecting any packages to arrive today and had not heard any doorbell so I curiously look at who it came from. Sure enough, there was my Curel Hydratherapy Wet Skin Moisturizer I requested a while back and was wondering why I never received. Just one of ther perks with living with 6 people who all loves checking the mailbox.

I ripped open the box , always excited to get an unexpected package, and I retrieved the bottle of moisturizer. My first thought was that the packaging had very nice bright teal blue and white colors which really made everything pop. The second thing I noticed was that it was water activated so using right after bath or the shower is perfect which as a mom in the bathroom after my shower is sometimes the only chance I can take care of my personal hygiene. 

So tonight after my shower I decided to try it out. I used a little quarter size amount in the palm of my hand and applied to both arms and my hands. It was a very soft creamy texture and seems very light in weight. The bottle does say that it is completely greaseless in the way it leaves your skin feeling, though that was true for my arms, the application to my hands did have a greasy feeling that I had to wash and dry to remove. No big deal really though. After a quick dry I did a rub test on my arms and wow. I could definitely feel a difference in my skin texture and appearance. I checked about an hour later and still had the soft, smooth feeling. 

Overall this was a good product and definitely lives up to the reason it was manufactured. If you have issues with dry skin I would highly suggest checking out more info.

Mirabella Glisten EyeShadow Pallet Review

I am a huge fan of eye shadows. Not only does it come in a million different colors and blends but the ease of application makes it so simple to apply daily. My favorite colors personally are browns and golds but I have been told that lighter shades of pink or more towards a rosier color may look good on me as well. Top off your eyes with a nice liquid eyeliner and long lasting waterproof mascara and you are on top of the make-up game!

I was lucky enough to receive the Mirabella Glisten eye shadow pallet from my Free Daily Goodie Box and it was probably my most loved item. At first glance the box it came in was kind of cute but when I opened it I was even more surprised. This pallet came in just more then a box with some colors, it had a nice, secure and durable silver case. Upon opening the case the colors popped right out at me, with a mix of purples, browns and some shades of a gold this was the perfect fit for my color desires. 

I was kind of disappointed that this pallet did not come with any brush for application so I had to use one I already had, but that is ok. I applied my first shade of purple and it was very soft and delicate looking. I applied a little more as in starting a layer of color and the purple started to pop a little more. I added some of the gold tone eye shadow and was able to blend the colors into a nice rounded out look. 





I do wish the colors were a little bolder and darker on my eyelids but I understand this a softer nature of eye shadow colors. Also using a eye shadow primer would probably assist in this issue as well which is something I did not apply, but may on future applications. 






Overall, if you are looking for a simple and serene look this would be great. If you are wanting more color pop and bold stand out looks, this is not going to be the one you want. It is a good product but does have room for improvement to stand up against other cosmetics out on the market.

Smile - It's FREE!

Yay. So I finally got my computer back and can do a new post. To clear up in advance what you may be wondering. No, my computer did not have any issues and it was not in the shop. The reality of it is my kids have had it held hostage all weekend AND today, and for the sanity of all involved, I didn't fight for it back. HA HA I feel that most of my life is spent fighting my kids for possession of the electronics. I remember being a kid and I would dread having to come inside when the street lights came on. I actually used to tell my mom that by some strange occurrence the street light where I was playing just didn't come on and that is why I was late coming home. Now a days I literally have to bribe my kids to go outside.  Do you ever feel like that?

Well since the kids get to have pretty much everything else I own I was happy when this new free product site I signed up for sent me a product specifically for me (and due to their age, a product the kids couldn't use and take from me lol). At 34 years old I dread to tell you that I still deal with acne almost daily. It isn't as bad as my teenage years but it does still take its toll on me when I wake up and lo and behold there is another pimple present on my skin. Not only does it always look gigantic but I can just imagine how much cover up I will have to use to hide it. Plus, as an adult you kind of feel that these should not be problems you are still dealing with even though I know that is not the truth.

I was sent the Differin Gel acne treatment for free to review in exchange for my unbiased and honest opinion. This is a thick consistency gel that you apply once daily as a full facial coverage. It is not meant for spot treatment and is for long term use for prevention of future acne and clearing of current acne problems. I am currently doing a 60 day challenge review for the freebie site of the product and will post some updates throughout the process so stay tuned for those future posts. So far it has been functional but did have a slight redness the day after the first use. The directions did warn of this and I just used a moisturizer as directed and all was fine shortly after.

Don't mind the bad nail polish, it's not what this post is about :)

Garnier SkinActive Review

The Garnier Rose Water Soothing cleansing milk is amazing. I applied on dry skin as directed and immediately could feel the creamy feeling of smoothness. It went on softly and felt delicate on my skin. My face felt fresh, clean, smooth and vibrant when I finished by simply patting my face dry after rinsing it off. 

I would highly recommend adding to your skin care regimen. And the best part is NO CHEMICALS. I received this product for free for my unbiased and honest review and you can receive products for free to.

Just One Of Those Days

I like simple and easy when it comes to some of my days. I wake up and my energy level is not full speed ahead and my drive for reaching for the stars have simmered.  On these days though, I still do like to make money. That is when I remember my small little accounts, which still add up to an extra $10-$20 per month. 

This is a new company I signed up with. It is SUPER SIMPLE, almost too simple. All you do is watch a 30 sec - 60 sec video ad when it is sent to you.
